PRODUCT & INGREDIENTS
No. Tallow's fatty-acid profile closely matches your own sebum, so your skin recognizes and absorbs it instead of treating it as foreign. The pore-clogging culprits are typically petrolatum, mineral oil, and synthetic silicones — not animal fats. The Cellular Recharge Balm has been formulated and tested for non-comedogenic absorption.
No. The methylene blue in REVYVE is at 0.01% — a low cosmetic concentration that absorbs into the skin within roughly 60 seconds. There's no visible blue on your face after application, and no transfer to fabrics. The pale dusty-blue tint you see in the jar is the active itself, not a dye added on top.
Yes. The Cellular Recharge Balm was formulated specifically for skin recovering from retinoid use. It contains zero retinol, zero AHAs, zero BHAs, zero fragrance, and zero alcohol. Most customers report no stinging on application from night one. If your skin is in the middle of an active flare, we recommend a 24-hour patch test on the inside of your wrist before applying to the face.
Yes, on alternating nights. Many customers in the early phase apply REVYVE on the nights they don't use retinol, then taper retinol use over the first month as their skin starts to feel calmer. Retinol forces exfoliation; REVYVE feeds and signals — so they don't cancel each other out, but the skin needs the rest from forced renewal.
Softer skin in week 1. Visible texture changes in weeks 2 to 3. Real firmness and fine-line softening at 4 to 6 weeks. The full cellular cycle is 60 days — which is why our refund window is 60 days. Use it every night and let your skin tell you the rest.
Tallow (the lipid base, bio-identical to your skin's own oils), Methylene Blue (mitochondrial recharge), GHK-Cu copper peptide (collagen signal), honey (humectant), jojoba (barrier balance), and vitamin E (antioxidant protection). Every ingredient earns its place. Made in an ISO 22716 certified facility, FDA-registered under MoCRA. COA available on request at support@irevyve.com.
Yes. We do not test on animals at any point in our supply chain, and we work only with manufacturers that follow the same standard. The tallow we use is a renewable byproduct of the existing food industry — not from animals raised for cosmetic ingredients.
No. The Cellular Recharge Balm is built on tallow — a bio-identical animal lipid that matches your skin's own sebum more closely than any plant alternative. We chose tallow because it works at the cellular level in a way no plant oil replicates. We respect that this isn't for everyone.
The Cellular Recharge Balm is manufactured in an ISO 22716 certified facility under FDA Good Manufacturing Practices, with cosmetic facility registration under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA). REVYVE is owned by Donstone LLC, a Wyoming-incorporated company headquartered at 2106 House Ave, Suite 510, Cheyenne, WY 82001.
No. The balm has a faint warm scent from the natural ingredients — not a beef-fat smell. We do not add fragrance, essential oils, or perfume. If you've tried an unrefined tallow balm before and gagged at the smell, this is not that. We can send a sample card on request to support@irevyve.com if you want to test before you commit.
APPLICATION & ROUTINE
After cleansing, scoop a small amount (pea-sized) with the Precision Applicator (or a clean fingertip) and warm it between your fingertips. Press into your face — forehead, cheeks, jaw, neck, chest. Don't rub aggressively. Use it as the last step of your routine, both morning and night.
A pea-sized amount is enough for the full face. The balm melts on contact with skin and goes a long way. If you feel any greasiness 10 minutes after application, you used too much. Less is more.
Both, ideally. Most customers do once at night for the first two weeks (lets the skin recharge during sleep), then add a thin morning layer once they see their skin tolerating it. The balm wears comfortably under sunscreen and makeup.
Yes. The Cellular Recharge Balm is designed as a single-step replacement for moisturizer, serum, and night cream. The tallow base hydrates, the GHK-Cu signals, and the methylene blue recharges. You don't need to layer anything underneath — that's the point.
Yes. Apply REVYVE first, wait 60 seconds for it to absorb, then apply your sunscreen on top. The balm doesn't pill under most chemical or mineral SPFs. We recommend SPF 30 or higher every day, especially if you're recovering from retinoid use.
After applying the balm, use the Crystal Gua Sha to gently sweep upward and outward on your face — jawline first, then cheeks, then forehead. The tool boosts microcirculation and helps the balm absorb deeper. Three to five minutes per side, two or three times a week is enough.
Dip the spoon end into the jar, scoop a small amount, and use the flat side to spread evenly across your face. The applicator keeps the balm hygienic (no fingers in the jar) and makes the dose more precise — especially helpful around the eyes and mouth.
About 30 days with twice-daily use, or 60 days with once-nightly use. The Buy Two, Get Two Free bundle gives you four jars — roughly a 4 to 8-month supply, which is also the time horizon for the deepest results.
Yes. Roughly 1 in 6 of our customers are men, often introduced to the brand by a partner. The balm has no scent that reads gendered, no shimmer, no glow finish. Apply post-shave to soothe irritation.
Yes, gently. The Cellular Recharge Balm is safe for the orbital area as long as you avoid getting it directly in the eye. Many customers use the Precision Applicator to dab a thin layer along the outer eye corners and brow bone.
SCIENCE & RESEARCH
Methylene blue has been used in medicine for over 150 years and was first synthesized in 1876. In a 2017 study from the University of Maryland published in Nature Scientific Reports, methylene blue outperformed both retinol and vitamin C in stimulating fibroblasts on aging human skin cells — without irritation. It's a mitochondrial enhancer: it helps your skin cells produce energy.
GHK-Cu is a tripeptide your blood already carries, discovered in 1973 by Dr. Loren Pickart. Over 50 years of independent research has documented its role in collagen synthesis, wound healing, and skin remodeling. It doesn't force exfoliation like retinol — it sends a biological signal that tells your skin to rebuild itself.
Tallow contains the same fatty acids as human sebum (palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic). Your skin recognizes it as one of its own, which is why absorption is rapid and complete. Tallow also carries fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) that the skin can use directly. It's been used in skincare for centuries.
Visit our Science page at irevyve.com/pages/science for citations, abstract summaries, and an in-depth breakdown of each active. The Maryland MB study, the Pickart GHK-Cu research, and the bio-identical lipid theory are all linked there.
The Cellular Recharge Balm formula has been reviewed by board-certified dermatologists and tested for skin compatibility in independent labs. Like all cosmetic products, individual reactions can vary. We recommend a 24-hour patch test if your skin is sensitive or in active flare.
Yes — at 0.01%, the methylene blue is at the upper end of the cosmetic-tolerable range. The 2017 University of Maryland study tested doses from 100nM to 1μM (microscale) and showed activity across that entire range. Higher concentrations risk staining and skin sensitization, which is why we keep ours at the threshold of effectiveness without crossing into discomfort.
Retinol forces accelerated cell turnover, which thins the epidermis over time and often causes redness, peeling, and barrier collapse. REVYVE works on a different axis — it recharges the cell's energy production (methylene blue), signals collagen synthesis (GHK-Cu), and feeds the barrier (tallow). Same goal, fundamentally different mechanism. They can be used on alternating nights.
Yes. The manufacturing facility is FDA-registered under MoCRA (the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022) and operates under ISO 22716 Good Manufacturing Practices. Donstone LLC, the parent company, is registered as the responsible person for the product in the U.S. market.
